How to: Master tempo & BPM fixes

Set the master tempo (the set BPM)

On the left of the timeline is the MASTER TEMPO box with − [ BPM ] +.

banner shows while it rebuilds (~1–2 min).

Fix a wrong BPM (half / double time)

Detection sometimes reads a track at half or double its real tempo. In the transition editor, bottom row:

AI Flex (fix drifting beats)

If a track's tempo drifts (its beat grid wanders off the kicks), click ⚡ Flex for that track in the editor. It warps the drifting grid onto a steady tempo. Re-prepare to hear it. The timeline draws a gold tempo-drift curve on tracks that wander, so you know which ones are candidates.

About very fast/slow tracks

A track far from the master (e.g. a 150-BPM track in a 103-BPM set) is brought as close to the master as possible without pitching it up — it's slowed toward the master rather than sped to double-time. Only genuine half/double tracks (≈2× or ≈½ the master) are played at the harmonic octave. This avoids the "chipmunk" fast-and-high artifact.
