How to: Automix (one-click mix)
Automix picks a set of tracks from your library, orders them harmonically, beat-matches them, and lays down transitions — automatically.
Steps
- Open the Timeline view.
- (Optional) set the length in the min box next to the toolbar (e.g. 12 minutes), and pick a
style in the dropdown.
- Click ⚡ Automix.
- A green "⚡ Building your mix…" banner appears over the timeline. It shows "Picking tracks…" then
"Rendering N tracks…". This takes ~1–2 minutes the first time (it stretches + beat-matches every track); it's cached afterward.
- When it finishes, the mix loads with waveforms, transition windows, and a beat grid. Press ▶ to
play.
Notes
- Automix builds a new set from your whole library. To reorder tracks you already have, use
Harmonize (see guide 02).
- Every track is stretched to a single master BPM so they all beat-match. Very fast/slow tracks are
brought as close to the master as possible without pitching up (see guide 08).
- Don't like the order? Open the Playlist tab to reorder, or run Harmonize.
