How to: Transitions
Every pair of adjacent tracks has a transition where they overlap. On the timeline it's drawn as two gold pillars — one at the point the blend starts, one where it ends — with a faint gold tint between them and a thin gold line (the clothesline) connecting the pillar tops. That's where you shape the blend.
What you hear is what exports. A Bass swap blend plays the same everywhere — timeline
preview, live board, and the rendered file: both records at honest volume the whole way
(equal-power), and the bass hands over once, on the bar line nearest mid-blend — one bassline
at a time, never two low ends fighting. The drawn curves (white volume, yellow bass) are exactly
what plays.
The pillars (on the timeline)
- Two gold posts mark the blend's in and out points. The flags on top (◀ and ▶) point the
direction you drag to widen.
- Drag a pillar (or its flag) — trim or extend the transition. It snaps to the grid live
at your current snap setting (Beat / Bar / 4-Bar), so both pillars always sit on real ticks and what you hear in preview is exactly what exports.
- Drag the ⇄ pill on the clothesline — slide the whole transition (both pillars together,
bonded to the incoming track, snapping to the grid). Dragging the thin gold line or the tinted span between the pillars does the same thing.
- Click between the pillars — open the transition editor.

- White curves on the waveforms show the volume automation (outgoing fading down, incoming rising).
Resizing pillars never moves the tracks themselves — beat alignment is untouched. The snap is
about musicality: the blend starts and ends on the beat.

Presets
One click applies a full blend: Bass swap · Crossfade · High→low · Low→high · Echo out · Filter sweep · Cut. Hit Save to store the current settings as your own reusable preset (see My presets tab).
Length
4 / 8 / 16 / 32 bars — sets how long the blend runs, in musical bars (calculated from the tempo).
Category tabs
- Equalizer — the core. Five bands: Volume · Bass · Mid · High · Filter. Each has a dropdown:
- None — band plays full, no move
- Crossfade — smooth eased fade
- Fade in / Fade out — one-sided fade
- Swap — hard switch (the classic bass-swap: outgoing bass cuts, incoming takes over)
- Swap fade — quick swap with a short blend
- Manual — draw your own curve (see guide 04)
- Effects — Echo out (feedback delay throw on the outgoing tail).
- Stems — split the outgoing track into Drums/Bass/Melody/Vocals (see guide 07).
- My presets — apply or delete presets you saved.
Everything previews live while the mix plays and bakes into Export.
Suggested starting point
Bass swap is the default (outgoing bass hard-swaps on the downbeat, highs crossfade). For a smoother, longer blend try Crossfade at 16 bars. For a big tempo jump, Echo out or Cut.
