How to: Lock transitions
When a blend sounds exactly right, lock it so it stays intact even if you re-order the rest of the set.
Steps
- On the timeline, find the transition window between the two tracks.
- Click the 🔒 lock icon in its top-left bar. The window turns gold.
What locking does
- The two tracks stay next to each other, in that order, whenever you run Harmonize — the rest of
the set reorders around them.
- The transition's full settings (style, per-band moves, manual curves, length) carry over with the
pair.
- Click the lock again to unlock. Locked transitions can't be moved/resized/edited until unlocked.
Why it's useful
Build a signature blend (say a perfect bass-swap between two anthems), lock it, then keep running Harmonize to experiment with the running order of everything else — your locked blend never breaks.
