How to: Manual automation (draw your own curves)
Instead of a preset fade, you can draw the exact shape of any band's move on the waveform.
Steps
- Open a transition editor → Equalizer tab.
- Set any band (Volume / Bass / Mid / High / Filter) to Manual.
- A color-coded curve appears on the outgoing track's waveform, inside the transition window:
- Volume = white · Bass = green · High = blue · Mid = amber · Filter = cyan
- Shape it:
- Drag a node up/down (level) or left/right (time).
- Click the curve line to add a node.
- Double-click a node to remove it.
- It applies live and bakes into Export.
What each band's height means
- Volume / Bass / High — 0 (bottom) = silent, 1 (top) = full.
- Mid — top = flat, bottom = mid fully cut.
- Filter — top = fully open, bottom = high-pass fully swept up (bass removed).
Tips
- The starting shape is a fade, so switching to Manual is seamless — then bend it however you like.
- You can have several bands on Manual at once; each draws its own colored curve.
- Your drawn curves are saved with the transition (survive reload and Harmonize).
