How to: Harmonize Mix

Harmonize orders a set of tracks so each one flows into the next in a compatible musical key (Camelot wheel) and close BPM — the smoothest possible running order.

Steps

1. Click ⚡ Harmonize Mix in the toolbar. A draggable window opens (drag its title bar to move

it).

1. Add tracks (left panel): type in the search box, click a track to add it. A green ✓ marks tracks

already in the mix. Tracks from your current timeline carry over automatically.

• The right panel (Mix tracks) shows what's in, numbered, with key + BPM. Click ✕ to remove one.

1. Choose a Mode:

• Mood — classic Camelot moves (same key, ±1 same letter, relative major/minor).
• Fuzzy — also allows ±2 wheel moves (more adventurous, still musical).

1. Set the BPM ⟷ Key slider: left = order mostly by tempo, right = mostly by key, middle = a blend.

The readout shows the current Algorithm tolerance in BPM.

1. (Optional) Lock first / Lock last to pin your opening/closing track in place.
2. (Optional) set a default transition style + length in bars for the whole mix.
3. Click ⚡ Harmonize Mix (N). It computes the order instantly, then rebuilds the mix (~1–2 min).

Tips

• Harmonize is explainable — it uses only key + BPM, no guesswork. You can always see why two tracks

are next to each other from their Camelot codes.

• Locked transitions stay together through Harmonize (see guide 05) — signature blends survive a

re-order.

• Two tracks that don't fit anywhere (harmonic outliers) get pushed to the ends where they do the least

damage.
